I don't normally buy my lunch when I go to work, as I normally pack them all on a Sunday night ready for the week ahead. However, one week for some reason I made four lunches instead of my normal five, so I was left one short come Friday.
So, come Friday I left the office in search of something to buy for lunch, and I stumbled upon The Goods Wholefoods in No Name Lane. In this tiny corner shop, there are a number of delicious salads in the salad bar as well as other healthy foods on offer including breakfast bites, superfood smoothies, healthy treats and delicious treats. Here they have a mantra that they will serve up nothing but Good, wholesome food.
All of the salads on display in the salad bar looked so inventive, and they were all full of so much colour. They weren't the boring iceberg lettuce and tomato salad that you often get when out, instead, they were something much more interesting. Intrigued, and keen to try them to see if they tasted as good as looked, I made up my mind to grab my lunch from here.
I decided to order a small box and grabbed two different salads, a zucchini noodle salad and a rocket and pumpkin salad. I also decided to add some salmon to my salad for the added protein, which ended up being a great idea as it kept me full to dinner. Not only was the salad filling and healthy, but it was also delicious, and it inspired me to make salads for my lunches for the next week. I'll definitely be going back there the next time that I forget my lunch!
