To the delight of foodies across the country, is set for a timely return to Sydney this October. This year's will be featuring a custom-built pop-up venue called the Sydney 'Hyde Park Palms'. The Hyde Park Palms will be located in the bustling heart of the Sydney CBD, and has been designed to emulate the desert chic style of Palm Springs. This particular version of Palm Springs, however, will be an oasis for food enthusiasts and culinary adventure seekers from across the country and the world.

The event kicks off with the launch party on Thursday October 5th at 6pm. Hosted at the Hyde Park Palms, the event will celebrate the opening of . Guests will get to party with the industry's best, while enjoying a selection of delectable treats and accompanying beverages. There will also be an awesome soundtrack, inspired by the many culinary contributors that have created the sensational 18 day program of food, fun and adventure. Tickets to the event will cost $100 per person.

The temporary venue will also play host to Sydney's most exciting chefs and award-winning culinary masters. The absolute highlight will be superstar guest and godfather of modern cooking Marco Pierre White. The masterchef was famously the youngest chef ever to gain three Michelin stars. To add to his resume, he once had Gordon Ramsay as his understudy, and controversially relinquished his Michelin stars purely on principal.

The renowned chef will be hosting an exclusive experience where guests will get to meet Marco and be treated to some of his classic dishes, brought to life with a twist by a talented Australian chef. The intimate audience will experience a never-to-be repeated menu, while simultaneously hearing from the talented chefs in a brief and private talk hosted by veteran food writer and restaurant critic, Jill Dupleix. The one off event is on Sunday October 8th at 6:30pm, with tickets available at $275 per person.

Sydney's famous Night Noodle Markets will also return to Hyde Park as part of October's . The markets will run from October 5th until October 22nd. Historically the market has seemed to serve everything with the exception of noodles, however it sure is the best place to sample a collection of outdoor eateries. Expect the menu to include dumplings, spicy noodles, BBQ sticks and Messina ice cream, while guests simultaneously enjoy live music under the stars. The market is set to feature over 40 sizzling food stalls serving up the best street food from across the Asian region.

Sydney's pop up Asian hawker market will also feature family-friendly entertainment in the form of live music, DJs and LED-lit dancing dragons. The market will also have revellers well looked after with popular dessert options in the form of Gelato Messina, Black Star Pastry and N2 Gelato. The Noodle Markets are also motivated to make things quick and easy for guests. This year the markets will be cash-free, so foodies will be able to spend less time queuing, and more time eating.

There will also be a plethora of other food and drink related events to take place as part of Sydney's . These include a blind beer tasting called LOVE BEER, HAVE TASTE , a Brunch Series in collaboration with the Urban List, and Manic Mondays , a retro-themed lycra-clad morning dance party with accompanying breakfast. Other Sydney chefs including the likes of Duncan Welgemoed , Dan Hong and Mitch Orr , will also host a series of food themed parties throughout the course of the festival. Some of the themes will include African and Mexican cuisine. Three hatted chef Peter Gilmore will also host a one of five-course intimate dinner at his renowned Sydney restaurant Quay. The special dinner will include matching beverages and a conversation with himself and his head sommelier Amanda Yallop, all for $340 per person.
