You might be excused for thinking that an event billed as 'Good Beer Week' might be nothing more than an excuse for a beer guzzling, can crunching big day out for the boys.

But no, Melbourne's annual Good Beer Week is made up of some 200 events spread over 160 venues and all seeking to celebrate and appreciate the amber fluid.
Headquarters for Good Beer Week is the Terminus Hotel in Fitzroy North and that's where drinkers will be able to take on the role of judge in the Global Brewer Face-Off, 8 brewers putting up 14 beers over 3 rounds, the winner to be decided by the patrons.
On Sunday 18th May Melbourne's iconic Puffing Billy becomes The Beer Train, with award winning beers being served with lunch as the train steams through the Dandenong Ranges.
