Baker extraordinaire and producer of Melbourne's best croissants,
Gontran Cherrier , is flying into Melbourne to take part in the
Melbourne Food and Wine Festival , which runs from
31st March to 9th April. Gontran will be part of
Sweet Alley , which takes place from
Friday 31st March to Sunday 2nd April, and where you can experience an early Easter fix with artisan pastries, ice creams and chocolates all available. Sweet Alley will be located at
Signal , Flinders Walk, Melbourne.

While he's in town, Gontran is running two special FREE master classes at his Smith Street, Collingwood boulangerie. If you are a lover of breads and pastries, you will not want to miss this opportunity.
On
Saturday 1st April, from
11.00am to 12 noon, head into the store to watch Gontran roll his famous signature croissants. You will also have the opportunity to buy them fresh out of the oven.
Sunday 2nd April is for the bread lovers. Between 11.00am and 12 noon, Gontran will be making his famous bread, baked with imported French flour. Again, the bread will be available to purchase, fresh out of the oven, after the demonstration.
No bookings are necessary, just be in-store at 11.00am to participate.

Gontran Cherrier's Artisan Boulangerie at
140 Smith Street, Collingwood.
While you're there, make sure you pick up some of his hot cross buns with a twist; flavours include macadamia and chocolate, chocolate and hazelnut, and cinnamon and raisin.
