South Bank's Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) is turning 10 and is hosting an exciting Summer Festival to coincide with their current major exhibition, Sugar Spin: You, Me, Art and Everything. The exhibition explores the theme of sugar in Queensland, featuring over 250 works, including the large scale favorite, Nervescape V, by artist Hrafnhildur Arnadottir (aka Shoppy).
To celebrate the ten year milestone, GOMA will be filled with plenty of color and fun. The Summer Festival takes place over five days, from January 18th - 22nd. There will be a range of creative workshops, storytelling, performances, exhibition tours, and a crazy crash course in contemporary art hosted by comedian Tim Ross and artist Sam Cranstoun.
