Get those golf clubs out and swing
Get ready to have a swing - there are only a couple of days to go until Golf Month takes place.
Starting on the 1st of October 2016 Golf Month offers activities for everyone right across Australia. Whether you are a novice golfer or thinking about trying it out, or whether you are an experienced golfer or somewhere in between, there will be something for you. The idea behind Golf Month is to encourage people to play golf - no matter what their level or past experience is.

There are golf clinics for all - beginners, children, people with disabilities and for advanced players too. If you need to get motivated because you haven't played for a while (as in my case) or you want to improve your game, or any part of it, there will be something for you to meet those aims.
Golf clubs all over Australia have planned many activities, offers, lessons and special deals, all centred on teaching and improving your golf, as well as having some fun. With clinics such as Bang it like Bubba and Ladies Coffee Club , many different interests as well as levels have been taken into consideration in planning these activities. Finding an activity on the Golf Month website is easy, just put in a postcode and all the golf clubs and driving ranges within 20km will appear.
There is also a competition to win a 5 day trip for two to Adelaide to attend the 2017 ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open Pro-Am.Included in the prize are also tickets to the Adelaide Fringe Festival and a Penfolds Wine experience as well as a gala dinner and 2 rounds of golf.
Stories of golfers and what drives them on the Golf Month website provide personal accounts of golfing pros, committed golfers as well as beginners - just in case you need more proof of what a great game golf can be.
So go on, get those golf clubs out, dust them off or polish them to a shiny gleam and get out there this spring to improve your swing or to see what it's all about. If nothing else you will have a wonderful walk on the bright green grass of the golf course, enjoy the spring flowers, trees in bud and chirpy birds and if you are in country Victoria you may see kangaroos and koalas observing your shots. You will definitely feel good after a round of 9 or 18 holes. Golf does that to you.
