On January 8th 2012, the Golden Turkey Film Festival helps celebrate the worst films of all time at Perth Cultural Centre. This free event starts at 8pm and promises to wow audiences with an evening of truly awful 'cult cinema' beneath the stars.
This particular instalment of the film event shows 'Teenagers From Outer Space', a film that the festival organisers have coined 'unintentionally hilarious, containing bad costumes, flaky sets, bad acting, and mind numbing brilliance'.
January 8th sees the close of this four date festival which has spread across the Christmas period. The festival takes its name from cinema critic Michael Medved, who famously authored a book of the same name which categorised bad cinema at its best.
Most of the festivals program have been played in relative obscurity over the years on television screens across the world. Only to be ousted onto the big screen by critics and cultists that believe they are truly 'the best of the worst'.
