The Golden Snack Bar at Edwardstown may not look like much but it's a little gold mine if you're into the 'so hot right now' lunch time item – the Vietnamese roll.
The rolls are big and crunchy and filled to the brim. The salad greens (including cucumber and delicious coriander) are fresh and also plentiful. But it's the beautifully cooked, succulent marinated chicken or pork (or both), cooked on site, that is the star of this dish. Tender, tasty and consistent, you can expect a refreshing taste of Asia with every bite.
Located in the back streets of Edwardstown this unassuming little corner shop may not be on everyone's daily path, but it's well worth a small detour if you find yourself in that part of town, just to sample a really excellent quality example of the Vietnamese roll.
I had a combo roll from here last weekend, awesome flavours, fresh and cheap as well! Will be returning regularly!! Kicking myself that I never noticed this place even though I have driven past on occasion. Jess
