Things to do on the Gold Coast with Kids

1. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
One of the favourite Gold Coast attractions for families who love Australian wildlife is the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Here you get the opportunity to get up close with a range of animals. Be sure to arrive nice and early for the 8 am lorikeet feeding where you may be lucky enough to have a lorikeet or two sit on your arm while they eat breakfast. Then wander through the park checking out a range of Australian wildlife as well as other exotic animals from across the globe.

2. Australia Zoo
A little out of the Gold Coast area, this is definitely worth the visit. A recommendation is to drive yourself to get the most out of your day there. There's heaps to see and do, your kids could even play zookeeper!

Nice article, PerthKel - just a side note: Australia Zoo is on the Sunshine Coast, two hours north of Gold Coast.
