On Friday the 3rd of August and Saturday the 4th of August 2018, the Gold Coast Disability Expo will be taking place at the Gold Coast Event Centre in Bundall.

The event is targeted towards people with a disability, their friends and family, carers, support workers, and others who are involved with the disability sector.

This is a great opportunity to gain information about various products and services that are currently available to assist people with a disability, including information about the NDIS , which was rolled out on the Gold Coast at the start of July.



[U]Exhibitors:[/U]
There will be 120 exhibitors at the expo, which will include government agencies, charities, support groups, employment services, disability product vendors and more.

As well as the exhibits, there will be presentations, Q&A sessions, plus live, all-ability stage performances.

Children are welcome and there will be #vt_entertainment ">free children's activities and entertainment on both days, including face painting, balloon twisting, roving bubbles, and children's entertainers.



[U]Cost:[/U]
The event is completely free, with #vt_venue ">free parking available on-site and free wheelchair friendly shuttle buses from Cypress Gardens Light Rail Station.

If you register online beforehand , you're eligible to receive fast entry plus a free show bag.

[U]Food and Beverages:[/U]
There will be food trucks, coffee trucks, plus a cafe where attendees can purchase food.

[U]Volunteers:[/U]
If you'd like to volunteer at the expo, there are a number of positions available, including Auslan interpreters, Expo Guides, plus volunteers to help with tasks such as setting up/packing up, handing out show bags etc.
