Gold Coast City Council Pool

Published November 29th 2010
Gold Coast City Council is useful for a variety of reasons. These include Education Programs, Libraries, Waste and Recylcing and many other community services.

In this case though, I believe the best feature of the large area surrounding the GCCC is the mini lake situated at the heart of it.

With its sandy shore, rocky bottom, green surroundings and company of many people around, the Council pool is one of the ideal family hangouts this summer.

The small lake is surrounded by rocks and on each end there is a sandy shore which makes it look like a beach or a rocky pool, with lots of tiny fish swimming around.

The water is very deep in the middle so it would be ideal to keep an eye on the children, but near the edges it is shallow and ever so warm, thanks to the natural heat of the sun.

People go there to spend their weekends being lazy by the water and getting a natural tan as you mingle with other visitors and families. Be prepared for a big day out so taking your coolers and making sandwiches and cordials would be spot on to make your stay enjoyable and filling at the same time.
