It gets better every year
Oh Christmas time, oh Christmas time.....
You always know that Christmas is only just around the corner when homes once dark and gloomy now shimmer and sparkle at night. Some a few strands of lights blinking on and off, some an absolutely amazing and mind blowing magical display celebrating all things Christmas.
The City of Gold Coast is once again hosting the Christmas Lights Competition 2016. This year it promises to be bigger than ever with more residents, their elves and many helpers spending hours and hours transforming their homes into amazing spectacular displays of dazzling and sparkling lights.
When it comes down to it, it is always hard to pick a winner but make sure you do vote and pick your favourite between 6th December and 17th December and not only will you be voting for the WINNER but you could also WIN a $1000 cheque from 7 News Gold Coast.
It is super easy to vote. The Mayor has narrowed the selection down to just 12 entrants so please make sure you do go and check them out before you vote. Then go to the 7 News Qld Website and look for the Christmas Lights advertising.
A great way to get into the Christmas and holiday spirit is to jump onboard the Christmas Lights Tour Bus. Murray's Coaches will once again operate the Christmas Lights Bus Tours from 20 December through to 24 December, leaving from The Arts Centre Gold Coast (135 Bundall Road, Surfers Paradise) at 7pm and returning by 10pm.
Bookings are essential, so book online or call 132251 to reserve your ticket today. Tickets start from $10 for Children and $15 for Adults.
You can download the list of all of the Gold Coast Entrants if you wish to stroll around your suburb or drive to the different locations yourself. It may very well become a family tradition in the making.
Lastly, don't forget to put up your own Christmas tree and lights and bring a little Christmas cheer to your special place.
