Located within the Carrara Markets, offers an all-weather butterfly enclosure, educational station and gift shop.

With current COVID-19 restrictions, visitors are limited to twenty people at any time. The enclosure features a trail that winds through displays of tropical plants and flowers. Spot butterflies feeding, resting on plants or fluttering past - if you are lucky, one may even land on you!

Bench seating is provided, allowing for contemplation and appreciation of the tranquil setting. These rest stops are also ideal for capturing "Insta-worthy" images.

An educational display features a running film, posters, artwork and a collection of chrysalises. These can be closely examined with the assistance of various-sized magnifying glasses. During our visit, my children also enjoyed carrying these tools around the garden, inspecting leaves for caterpillars and their eggs.

Owner Jo is equipped with a wealth of information. She eagerly showed us through the venue, identifying and discussing the various species of resident butterflies.

Entry to is $9 per adult, $8 per concession and $7 per child. A family pass can be purchased for $25, admitting up to 3 children). This venue operates as a Social Enterprise, with proceeds donated to establishing a Butterfly Conservation Centre.
