I am glad Italian food is healthy
New Italian eatery, Godi La Vita, in Hyde Park oozes authenticity.

Enjoy Life

There is no doubting the incredible skills of Owner and Chef Frederico and the charm of his enthusiastic and attentive wait-staff.

Chef Frederico makes Croissants for the day

My first meal there was a humble, quiet breakfast of house cured Atlantic Salmon, that rivals the other great innovator of the moment, Flying Fig in North Adelaide, with perfectly Scrambled Eggs and Avocado. With very good coffee.

I mean seriously, with such excellent housemade fare at reasonable prices, why would I choose less I say.

But the lunch and dinner menus had me salivating. Seriously interesting food.

The cakes and pastries are made on the spot. The chef took a moment to outline what was on offer, though my waistline had to decline politely.

Dangerously good homemade pastries.

The dinner menu was the real attractant, like an irresistible bait summoning a hungry fish.

All the parmesan is cut for service from a giant parmesan wheel.

Strachino made on the premises

House made Stracchino, a mozzarella like cheese.

Grilled Lobster Tail on Risotto Limone. Lock me up, chain me to a cannonball; the diet is out the window. In its place will be this hedonistic pleasure, next weekend, and maybe the one after as well.
