If you and your family love picnics and cruises, you'll probably be as delighted as we were to discover that affordable picnic boat rentals are now available in Sanctuary Cove, thanks to GoBoat Gold Coast.

On a GoBoat is one of the best picnic spots Gold Coast has to offer.
Up to 8 people can enjoy a picnic boating experience together at a set price, making it an excellent and affordable option if you're looking for things to do for the whole family or a group of friends. GoBoats are also pet-friendly, so you can even invite your doggos.
Choose between 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours of fun and relaxation on the water. BYO food and drinks or pre-order impressive picnic hampers through GoBoat Gold Coast.
Part of the fun is deciding who from your group will be the captain as no boat license is required! Make their role more fun and official by purchasing a Captain's Hat when booking your GoBoat experience at GoBoat.com.au.
Choose to enjoy the sound of each other's laughter and cheers as you set sail or order a Bluetooth Speaker to add some background music to your experience.
Information on how to make the most of your boating experience is sent through email when you book. There's also an opportunity to ask questions when the friendly staff goes over some safety pointers, the area map and easy to follow how-to instructions before the boating session starts.

I recommend arriving early to allow some time to explore, take pictures of the stunning scenery and find the GoBoat kiosk.

The price includes life jackets located in the storage compartment of the boat. Only kids under 12 are required to wear life jackets.
Each boat comes with a shade cloth for extra comfort on sunny days. We also received round, non-slip cushions to sit on.
The glossy surface of the boat can be slippery. I was happy I wore sneakers that seemed to grip onto it, making getting in and out of the boat a breeze.
We went in June when the night air can get a bit cool. It's a good idea to bring something warm like a poncho to avoid getting cold.

Hubby and I booked a sunset cruise, which, with some wine, turned out to be one of the best date nights we've had. We recommend this experience for any occasion. It also feels good to support a business committed to environmental sustainability, which GoBoat Gold Coast is.
