For those who have ever suffered the pain of food intolerances and allergies, the information available is crucial to leading a normal life. Coeliac South Australia and Northern Territory brings to the Goyder South Pavilion, Adelaide Showgrounds, Goodwood Road, Wayville the Gluten Matters Expo 2017 on 17 and 18 June 2017 from 10 am to 4 pm.
The Gluten Matters Expo provides the opportunity to taste and source products, talk to manufacturers and learn more about Coeliac Disease and the gluten-free diet from guest speakers. Guest speakers include Dr Jason Tyre-Din, gastroenterologist and coeliac disease specialist, Dr David Moore, paediatric gastroenterologist, Stephanie Gaskell, dietitian and Kate Crocker, blogger and mum with a special interest in coeliac children.

Come along and watch gluten free cooking demonstrations from local celebrity chefs such as Adam Swanson of Zucca Greek Mezze, Sabine DeVuono of Just GF Cafe and Rilka Warbanoff of Rilka's Real Food.
This is the second year for this event to be held in Adelaide and it can only be made possible through the support of the local community. So, if you suffer from gluten or wheat intolerance, are coeliac, think healthy food is not delicious or simply want to know more about following a healthy lifestyle, come along to Gluten Matters.
Tickets are $12 adults and $10 concession and Coeliac SA&NT members if purchased online or $15 adults and $13 concession and Coeliac SA&NT members at the door. Children under 16 and accompanied by an adult are free. You can book for either Saturday or Sunday or why not book for both days for a discounted price of $20. Concession ticket holders will be required to show their concession card on entry. Tickets purchased online include a 30c booking fee.
If taking the bus to the event check the AdelaideMetro website for the best bus route for you. Alight the bus at bus stops 1 or 2 on Goodwood Road for best access to the Adelaide Showground or take the tram and alight at stop 3 Goodwood Road Station for a 5-minute walk to the Showground. Car parking is available at the Rose Terrace Car Park adjacent to the Goyder South Pavilion. Prices are free for the first half-hour, $3 for ½ hour to 2 hours and $8 over 2 hours. Street parking is also available around the showgrounds.
