The Glow Winter Arts Festival is a fabulous free program of stunning outdoor light installations and projections for after-dark fun. The festival runs from Thursday 15 - Sunday 18 August 2019, with installations open for viewing from 6 - 10pm each night.
Each night, Central Park Gardens will come alive as night falls and the lights are switched on casting a magical glow on visitors.
Some of the installations include the Wonderdome, a dome of pixels glowing in the distance where globes of light appear to hang in mid-air as you walk towards them in the darkness. Step inside and be transported to a magical place.
Wonderdome, ready to transport you to another universe of light
String Symphony brings a giant marionette to life and you can help by grabbing one of 12 ropes and working with other volunteers. The creation, by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, uses 600 LED lights and more than a kilometre of hand-woven rope. Watch and marvel at the joy and beauty of the giant puppet as it comes to life.
The magnificent Secrets of the Golden Elm Tree will be revealed as shimmering, twinkling lights are projected on to its trunk and branches. Visitors both young and young at heart will be mesmerised by the experience as they gaze on in wonder.
Two food trucks will be on-site for you to grab hot drinks and snacks. Cheese and Bread will offer yummy toasties and Miss Molly's Cakes will have coffee and scrumptious sweet treats. Several of the surrounding businesses will also be open serving a range of food and drink options.

During the event and within the Central Park Gardens, dogs are allowed as long as they are kept on leash and owners are responsible for pick up after their pet.
