  • NomNom Pets - A business so young that they have yet to launch their online shop, NomNom Pets will be having their first ever stall showcasing all their products to the public on Saturday March 25th, at the launch of Pets at the Gabba , Brisbane's first pet only market - come along for a great day with lots of fun to be had! Treats are baked with love and care by Kelly, and taste tested by canine CEO Donut for quality control. With no preservatives, no artificial colours or flavours, and no added sugar and salt, NomNom Pets are well and truly abiding by their slogan - "Treat Them Right".


  • OZ DOGZ - Founded in 2014, OZDOGZ have a wide range of pet accessories and treats available, to suit dogs of all sizes and appetites - for example, OZDOGZ is a stockist for Toowoomba-based business Petz Tucker . OZDOGS pride themselves on stocking products that are not only high in quality, but also easy on the wallet, and make sure to listen to what you and your dog need. They can be found every Friday and Saturday night at Eat Street Markets - a dog friendly market!


  • Peticular - Although not technically in Brisbane (but is close enough on the Sunshine Coast, right?), Peticular is a boutique pet store that recently opened up in early 2017. The name 'Peticular' came from joining 'pet' and 'particular' together. As you know, 'particular' means "insisting that something should be correct or suitable in every detail" - and this is exactly what Peticular sets out to do, for your furry best friends. Make the road trip up today, drop in for a visit, and be wow-ed by the wide range of pet accessories, treats, beds, toys, and much much more they have available. Products are sourced both internationally and locally, so whether you want to forgo paying exuberant international shipping fees, or support a local business, Peticular has what you need waiting for you in store.


  • Pets at Home Care & Bakery - A small run-from-home business, Pets at Home Care & Bakery has been operating for about 5 years, and expanded their service provision to include a bakery with only homemade pet treats about a year and a half ago. Treats contain no sugar, salt or preservatives, and is most definitely pet friendly. It is easy to order with Pets at Home Care Bakery - they accept orders via phone, text, email, or Facebook. They even deliver within the Bayside area every Wednesday, with an affordable flat rate delivery fee that is not dependent on weight!



  • Pop's Pupcakes - Pop's Pupcakes started in 2015 from wanting to share special treats with furry friends - choose from their range, including pupcakes, pupchocs, and pupcookies - yum! Pop's Pupcakes can be purchased at The Cupcake Taste in Graceville.


  • Rosie & Co Barkery - Rosie & Co Barkery specialises in "treats for four legs" with unique gem shaped designs that are moist and chewy in texture; the perfect healthy treat for your pooch with only natural ingredients. Rosie & Co started with the aim of making treats for Rosie, canine CEO, the face behind the brand, and the cutest Boston Terrier ever; Rosie does not like eating hard treats, hence the chewy texture of the 'Rosie Rocks'!   • Rustic Ruffs - Small Batch Dog Treats - Rustic Ruffs is a newly established (est. November 2016) business that lovingly handmakes gourmet all-natural treats in small batches, to ensure your dog receives the treat they love without the nasties. Choose from an interesting array of flavours, including 'Bubble & Squeak' , Eddy's personal favourite! In addition to treats, Rustic Ruffs also has dinner delight packs available for pick up (Mt Gravatt East) or delivery (Brisbane South East). Grain and gluten free, with a wide range of flavours to choose from? I'm in!


  • Sacred Pet Boutique - Although Sacred Pet Boutique first started trading online in 2011, it wasn't until October 2016 that Sacred Pet Boutique launched their custom built enclosed trailer to deliver a Mobile Retail Experience for their customers at many of Brisbane's dog friendly markets, including Carseldine Markets and Redcliffe Jetty Markets . Sacred Pet Boutique was born "out of our own selfish needs" - they were uninspired by choices available in their local area, and so set out on their journey of sourcing the best products in terms of quality and uniqueness.


  • Soapy Moose - Soapy Moose makes fully customisable handmade collars, leads, bandanas, bowties (and more!) for cats and dogs, with an extensive range of cute fabrics to choose from. In addition to handmade pet accessories, the Soapy Moose also sell 100% Australian made and owned pet treats which, as a bonus, are free from preservatives, chemicals and additives. Tasters are available at the stall, to find which one your pooch likes most - it'll be a tough choice to make! Visit their stall at Kelvin Grove Village Markets - they're there every Saturday morning from 6am to 1pm.



  • suburban pup - The vision of suburban pup is simple: "to help humans show their dogs they could not love them more - every day". With four healthy dinners and one finger-licking breakfast (Eddy and Sam's favourite - Cafe Pawridge ) to choose from, suburban pup provides busy humans with the perfect solution to healthy doggy meals. They get that we can get caught up with life, and that sometimes we're just too busy to prepare fresh and nutritious meals... which is why they've taken over the hard job for us, with meals conveniently packaged in single-serve containers, and even offering home delivery!   • Sweet Chops - Sweet Chops was born out of a love of cupcakes and a passion for pooches; using only dog friendly ingredients such as gluten free flour, fruit, natural peanut butter and honey, carob, molasses and yoghurt. All treats are handmade, with no added salt or sugar, and are also free of artificial colours, flavours, and preservatives. Best of all, Sweet Chops has available 'bake at home kits', providing all the ingredients necessary for you to bake the perfect piece of decadence for your furbabies!


  • The Canine Studio - The Canine Studio is a photography studio in Strathpine that specialises in... you guessed it, dogs! In addition to extensive experience in the photography field, owner and photographer Rachel is also very experienced with animals, especially with dogs. Having been working and training with dogs for many years, Rachel understands the importance of understanding animal behaviour when photographing them. Taking your pet for a professional photoshoot is a great way to capture the individuality and uniqueness of each of your furbabies, and display it as a tangible object, and not just in that special place in your heart.   • The Golden Bone Bakery - All treats that are handmade with love by Katharina is 100% free of added salt, sugar, soy, corn, preservatives, and chemicals - their recipes are confirmed by a veterinarian, and even tested for nutrient analysis in a laboratory. The Golden Bone Bakery adheres to the guidelines set by the PFIAA (Pet Food Industry Association of Australia), and clearly states on the packaging exactly what ingredients are used to make each treat. "Animal love is my basic and biggest motivation to fulfil our four pawed client's wishes day in, day out. I strongly believe that "You are what you eat" goes for us humans as well as for our dogs."


  • The Hound Hutt - The Hound Hutt , "where small dogs play and where hugs are free", is Queensland's small doggy styling specialists. They specialise in hand scissoring, international show standard hand stripping, and breed specific styling for all the smaller furbabies out there; dedicating quality time to meet all of your doggy's needs during their visit in order to ensure your pooch has a positive experience during every stay at The Hound Hutt. They can even give your spoiled pooch a manicure and/or pedicure - using water-based dog friendly nail polish of course!


  • Woofenwag - Woofenwag has an impressive range of products available, which far exceeds the capacity of your average market stall - it would not be possible to list all their products here in this article. Run by Martina, Woofenwag specialises in custom made items for assistance and therapy dogs - she will be about to tell you all the do's an don'ts, in addition to guide those interested in or needing an assistance dog in the right direction. Martina also has a belief in natural and healthy dog food and parasite control, and again will be able to provide interested customers with tips on how to get started on an all-natural diet.
