Take Your Tastebuds to Portugal
Three Bears Kitchen offers a degustation dinner from 6pm on Friday & Saturday nights. The menus change monthly and are based on the cuisine of different countries. It was great to take a culinary visit to Portugal without jet lag.
The starter was a subtly spiced seafood stew. This was followed by salt cod fritters with a tasty smoked paprika aioli. The staff are very considerate of dietary needs and preferences thus different courses would have been offered for those disliking seafood. Next was pork and olive meatballs and the main dish of piri piri chicken, oregano potatoes and roast cauliflower salad.
The delicious dessert was a modern take on a traditional Portugeuse tart with fig caramel and vanilla ice cream and was the perfect finish to a lovely meal. The only decisions you will need to make are what drink you will BYO and how long you wish to wait between courses.
We are looking forward to our next flavour trip in May and wonder where our tastebuds will be travelling to.
