Glick's is a bakery, but not just an ordinary bakery it is a kosher bakery that produces the most wonderful array of kosher breads and pastries.

Kosher produce adheres to the Jewish faiths traditional laws relating to food that is allowed to be consumed according to the Torah.

I was so pleased to be able to find Glick's in Sydney. I could buy sweet challah on Fridays. Challah is parve, which means it does not contain dairy nor meat. Challah is a braided loaf that is eaten on Sabbath and Jewish holidays.

All the bagels, breads and pasties made and served by Glick's are kosher.

Glick's is the creation of Mendel Glick. He began by selling cookies and cakes and eventually specialised in boiled bagels. Today, Glick's are renown for their bagels, which come in a variety of sweet and savoury flavours, including plain, poppy seed, caraway, blueberry, choc chip, cinnamon and sultana and many more.
