Looks can be deceiving - Glenview Gardens gives one the initial impression that it's
only an outdoor dining experience but step inside and a whole new world is waiting to greet you. The visitor has a multitude of dining options, indoors and out. One can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with everything in between.

Dine alfresco in the welcoming courtyard with palms and umbrellas providing cool shade and a tropical garden atmosphere. The indoor formal dining area provides an elegant ambience to your dining-out experience or perhaps a formal, traditional High Tea in the elegant Rose Room would make for a more memorable event.

A special playground for the tiny tots is fringed with colourful flowers and plants and a large red umbrella designed to create an enchanted garden effect with security, sun safety and imagination Glenview Gardens' priority.
Imitation turf throughout the playground ensures any tumbles are well cushioned. Plenty of toys to keep the littlies amused while Mums can sit back, in close proximity, and enjoy the ambience of the gardens. Tables and chairs are provided, adjacent to the alfresco area, just outside the playground ensuring a 'watchful' eye on the littlies is possible.

Tweens entertainment area - Image: Elaine de Wet
This area is for the
'tweens' in the family, aged 8 to 12 years of age and provides entertainment and interaction with Wii games, DVD's, reading books and games. A comfortable lounge area allows this age group to settle down and watch some television or a movie while parents can enjoy some uninterrupted 'us' time in the restaurant or garden courtyard.
Future plans for this area encompass bringing in some reptiles (new management's son's passion) so that children can interact with some Australian fauna.

Glenview Gardens Country Resort is a pet-friendly venue, realising that our pets are an important part of our lives so have catered for our furry family members with a separate garden area. One can sit under the gazebo and enjoy your four-legged friend at your feet, or place them in the secured pet-friendly Pooches Patch while you dine in another area of the boutique resort.

Glenview Gardens are presently open from Wednesday to Sunday with Sunday afternoons being dedicated to live musical entertainment. Having only been in attendance for a couple of weeks, the new management is still working on a new website.
The day we chose to visit, Glenview Gardens was closed (a Tuesday), but Jenny, the new Manager was extremely obliging and happy to show us around - we'll definitely be back for a meal, a coffee or something in between.
Glenview Gardens is the perfect location to 'stop, revive, survive' or to celebrate a special event whether it's a birthday, a baby shower, a wedding or 'just because'.
