Take a drive on the rustic side
Creative Coffee

Glenorie, a tranquil rural location north-west of Sydney and the perfect destination for a weekend, (or if you are fortunate enough to have a day off during the week), drive and by the time you reach this destination, you will certainly be feeling hungry. This is when a stop at the Glenorie Bakery Cafe will satisfy your hunger. Family owned and operated and famous for their pies, especially the award-winning classic beef and other taste bud dancing delights, you are in for a decadent treat. The ambience of this bakery is rustic and relaxed and friendly staff.
Tastebud dancing delights!

The outdoor seating area is perfect for soaking up the sunshine on a sunny day and because this area is pet-friendly, your dog is welcome too. The kids will enjoy themselves in the fabulous cubby house and play area and on a Sunday there is live music from 11.00am-2.00pm.

What I enjoy about these pies is that the ingredients are sourced from local farmers, keeping them fresh and sustainable. My favourite one is the potato pie, not only for the taste but because it looks like a work of art - when you visit Glenorie Bakery, be sure to ask for one or at least to see one so you know what I mean! Not only are the pies baked fresh on site, so is the bread and there is a wide variety to choose from.

High Tea is also available 7 days a week, $45 per person. A great opportunity to get together and indulge in some sweet delights and not to forget about the kids, why not start them early learning about food and skills in the kitchen, enrol them into the Junior Bakers Academy program during the school holidays. For ages 4-10 years. Contact the bakery for full information.

After treating yourself to coffee, pies and sweets, take a close look at the interior of the bakery, there are some very interesting artifacts on display because what you may not know about this Bakery/Cafe is that it is also a museum with a wonderful display of vintage bakery equipment and while you are looking up at this display, you will be treated to another special display - I won't give it away, seek and you will find it.

This is also a beautiful location for any special event - Wedding's, corporate, birthday parties and Christmas gatherings.

Take advantage of the next sunny weekend and enjoy a country drive to Glenorie and soak up the atmosphere, try your favourite pie, followed by a coffee and cake!
