In 2019, the theme for the festival is 'carnival' and it is presented by the Glenferrie Traders Association with support from the council.
From last year's event
It is the largest one-day event in the City of Boroondara and will be held this year on Sunday 3rd March 2019, from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm. It is a free event and will be on at 707 Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn, which is between Burwood and Barkers Roads.
The local shops and restaurants stay open and are joined by hundreds of stalls, a makers market, live entertainment, many different rides and much more. It will be a family fun day where apart from shopping you will be entertained by the following:
There will be a massive 250 stalls for you to browse through, so make sure you get there early! Some of the things they will be selling include food, artisan products from the Hawthorn Makers Market, the Young Entrepreneurs Market, community stalls and all the regular Glenferrie Hawthorn traders. You will find some great bargains and unusual items and you can also sample some of the menus.
You can pre-purchase a ride pass online here and there are all different types. Your pre-purchased ride wristbands can be collected on 3rd March from 10.00 am at the information booth at the corner of Bowen Street and Glenferrie Road. You will also need to print your receipt and bring that with you to collect your ride wristband.
