Unlike the northern hemisphere, Christmas in Australia tends to be depicted as Santa on the beach, sunscreen, barbecues, sunsets and all the things that make Australia great.
On Sunday 25 November 2018, Santa is heading to Glenelg! The iconic beachside suburb is a favourite for locals and tourists alike and in the summer months, comes alive.
Take the family, plan your day and head to the Glenelg Christmas Pageant, where you're sure to have an amazing day to ring in the start of the festive season. Starting at 10am, the pageant will travel along Jetty Road and continue onto Rose Street and end at Colley Reserve.
There will be marching bands, dancers, clowns, singing groups and more and of course Santa! Head to Moseley Square after the pageant to meet the man himself.
As this is a popular event, it might be worth heading to Glenelg early to secure a good viewing position and while you're there, why not sample some of the delicious food and beverages from the local cafes lining Jetty Road.
