Glamorama , Fitzroy's newest dining, drinking and electronic music venue has just opened at (upstairs) 393-395 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy.



Glamorama is the brainchild of the people responsible for the popular South Yarra bar, Less than Zero . It's a vast venue, with high ceilings and a large bar, and there is plenty of room for dancing. As well as tables, there are cosy booths. Glamorama also has a side room, and a beer garden, which are perfect for private functions. The decor is fairly simple, with the red-lit bar a feature. You will also see mannequins dotted around - including a mannequin hand as a beer tap handle.



While music is a strong focus in Glamorama, that's not to say food and drinks are treated as secondary.

The kitchen is headed by Shaun Hansen, previously of Sweetwater Inn , and the menu features familiar dishes, served with a twist. Choose from moussaka ($18), fried pork hock ($22) or a grains salad ($16), amongst many other options. Click here for the full menu. Although the dinner service closes at 11.00pm, bar snacks will still be available until 3.00am. Pies, sausage rolls, and chips and gravy are amongst the bar offerings (each $12).



In terms of drinks, Glamorama also offers an extensive drinks menu, including more than 30 Australian whiskies . There is also an interesting cocktail menu, which includes 'sharing cocktails' ($40). We tried the Paloma-rama - great for all you Mezcal fans out there. Next time I'd like to try the 'Bring Back the Savage Garden' - Hendricks Gin, cranberry, cucumber slices, basil, bitters - right up my alley. Click here for the full drinks menu.



The dinner service closes at 11.00pm, and then the music takes over, with a selection of local and international artists planned for the upcoming weeks and months. The music is provided via a custom-fitted top of the range, Funktion-One surround sound system.



Confirmed international artists include Ben Pearce , Dense & Pika and H.O.S.H.

The venue is licensed until 3.00am during the week and 5.00am on weekends.

With super long opening hours, Glamorama is the place to go for an early evening meal, early morning dance or for a whole night's entertainment.

Glamorama is open from Wednesday - Sunday:
- Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday 5:00pm – 3:00am
- Friday and Saturday 5:00pm – 5:00am.
