The Maritime Museum is located on 60 Flinders Parade, Gladstone, in the beautiful East Shores Marina Parklands (opposite the Auckland House restaurant). It’s a home for Gladstone's colourful maritime collection and is full of artifacts about local history.

Open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 10 am to 3 pm, it will cost $10/adult and $5/child (children under 5 free), with $30/family. You will see a collection including vessels, model ships, navigational aids, and shipwreck relics plus a library with hundreds of papers and journals.

There is the interactive display, The Wreck Wall, with a touch screen where you can find local shipwreck locations. They also provide hard copies of information if you want to find out more about these shipwrecks.
Audio Exhibit of HMAS Protector - Image taken by the author
There is also a HMAS Protector Audio Exhibit that features five pieces outlining the history of the Protector and its link to Australia’s proud military history.
