Swap your excellent condition clothes
Give and Take is a clothing swap, which was on last year, and proved very popular, and is once again on this year!

Swap fabulous costume jewellery

Give and Take 2018 is happening soon, so it is time to start getting those unworn clothes ready to swap.

This is the best value shopping trip you will make this year and it is also fun checking out all the items of clothing. It will be held on Saturday 21st July, at 7.30 pm, at the Kallaroo Anglican Church, Corner Aristride and Dampier Avenues, Kallaroo.

Entry is by donation of $10 or just $5 with a packet of size 8, 10 or 12 ladies mid to fullsize knickers or a packet of flannels! Please note: no "G-string knickers".

How this Give and Take Swap works:
You get there at 7.30 pm, along with your clean clothes, which must be in excellent condition.

These are to be women's clothes including handbags, shoes, costume and accessories (no pierced earrings due to health reasons) that you no longer want/need.

You can even bring your old bras in any condition, to donate to Project Uplift. These bras are sent to countries in need, and they control breast swing when women bend to garden or cook at ground level.

Also in some of these places where it is very humid, rashes, fungal infections and abscesses occur between the breast and the chest wall. Bras help by allowing air circulation.

Nursing mothers are often in need of these as they allow the dignity of a dry shirt and the comfort of support.

More information about the Uplift Project:

At the event, there will be tea and coffee, cake and conversation. You will be meeting new people and it will be a fun evening.

The clothes will get sorted downstairs and then you can shop/swap for excellent condition replacements!

All proceeds from this event will be given to Days for Girls. Any leftover business clothes gets donated to Dress for Success Perth.

Dress for Success is a global company and is an affiliate of the global charity that provides work-appropriate clothing for women.

They also provide support by way of mentoring, as well as career development tools to help empower women in Western Australia to "move forward and achieve self-sufficiency through gainful employment".

For more information about this interesting event, please contact either Karen on 0410222244 or Barbara on 0408093877.

Don't miss out on this unusual way of getting some new clothes, and de-cluttering your wardrobe!
