Well, Spring is approaching and my thoughts are turning to Girraween National Park, a couple of hours drive from Brisbane.

We head to Girraween each Spring for a camping trip with friends. As well as wonderful walks and an amazing granite landscape, Girraween offers one of the best displays of native wildflowers you'll see in Queensland. 'Eggs and bacon' (proper name Dillwynia retorta) is one of the most prolific, its tiny golden flowers splashed throughout the bush.

If you'd like to find out more about camping at Girraween, read my longer article on the park.
