All ages welcome at this first fundraising event
The brand new Lions Arts Factory will be the venue for the very first Girls Rock! Adelaide. This will be a major fundraising gig which is going to be an event not to be missed!

At this event, there is going to be an amazing line-up of South Australian female-identifying musicians such as:

HEAPS GOOD FRIENDS - are a band who play genres such as Peanut Brittle Pop with text message lyrics. They won the Best New Artist 2017 in the South Australian Music Awards.

DEAD ROO - are an Adelaide alt-country group. They have been going for almost a year now and are a four-piece band. They have found themselves well received playing Gizzfest and supporting the likes of Hideous Sun Demon, Zen Panda, Raave Tapes and many more.

TEENAGE JOANS features Cahli Blakers on guitar and Dahlia Borg on the drums.

HEY HARRIET - are an indie/folk group.

CONTRACT LOVE - are also an indie/rock group of three.

The fundraiser is aimed at all ages and everyone is therefore welcome!

It will be held on Saturday 30th March 2019 from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm. You can book your tickets for $15 plus booking fee through Moshtix.

MOJO Kombucha! Girls Rock!

There will be Girls Rock! merchandise for sale and some terrific raffle prizes to be won. There will be food trucks so you will also be able to buy food at the event. After the event, there will be an after party from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm with local DJ's:

Jessi Jacoby (Basementality)
Bad Jelly DJs
Jessi Lou (PAK Music)

The organisers acknowledge that this event will be held on Kaurna Land. They pay their respects to the traditional custodians of the land, the Kaurna people and their elders past, present and future.

Organisers also endeavour to make this event a safe space for all. It will be free from "sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or discriminatory behaviour of any nature."

The Lion Arts Factory is an accessible venue which has wheelchair access located at the rear.

Street parking is limited but there are multiple commercial carparks on Hindley Street nearby. The Lion Arts Factory is centrally located in front of a tram stop and within close proximity to the Train Station and bus stops.

All proceeds from this event will be going towards facilitating the first Girls Rock! Adelaide camp in July 2019. Attendees will have the opportunity to develop their creativity in a safe space. It will be led by female and gender diverse musicians and industry practitioners.
