Girls, it's less than a week away! It's not too late to start planning your 'Girl's Night In', in support of those impacted by women's cancers.

October is Pink Ribbon Month, and Cancer Council SA is encouraging women across the state to host or attend a Girls' Night In and donate the money they would have spent on a night out to fund further women's cancer research.

Whether it's a DVD and chocolate in front of your favourite girl flick, a lavish dinner for your friends, a scrapbooking party, (that may take more than a night), dancing the evening away to your favourite Spotify playlist, or maybe just coffee, cake and a phone free evening to chat and relax in each other's company, you can register to host a Girl's Night In anytime in October and raise funds for those affected by breast or a gynaecological cancer.

In South Australia, breast cancer represents 15 per cent of all cancer deaths in South Australian women, the second most common cause of female cancer deaths," reports Cancer Council SA Chief Executive, Lincoln Size. "Cancer Council fundraisers like Girls' Night In have resulted in research that has directly impacted the screening, treatment and prevention of breast and gynaecological cancers and we need your support to continue making these changes..."

Mr. Size added, "Money fundraised through Cancer Council's Girls' Night In and Pink Ribbon events will help fund world-class research into women's cancers, cancer prevention and advocacy programs, and provide support services to help those affected by women's cancers at every stage of their journey."

For ideas or tips on organising your Girls' Night In or to register as a host, jump online to www.girlsnightin.com.au or call 1300 65 65 85.
