Grab you Girlfriends, Mothers and Aunts for a day out on the Brisbane River. "Girls Day Out Cruise" on Saturday 12th May 2018 is a fundraiser with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Sporting Wheelies .



The Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association began sometime in the 1960s as a small sports club within the Paraplegic Welfare Association in Queensland. Through the 1960 Paralympic Games in Rome, more events for people with sporting and spinal cord injuries were gaining popularity and hence the growth in the Association began. In 1977, the club became a registered charity as the Paraplegic & Quadriplegic Sport Association of Queensland and in the following year, extended its programs and services to include people with physical disabilities. Due to this further expansion, the decision was made to change the name to Sporting Wheelies to cover the broader mission.

Many of us take for granted the ability to walk and run, but in the blink of an eye, this could change forever. Leaving from South Bank Parklands , River City Cruises will provide a day out every lady should have. Cost per person is $60.00.
