Chinatown is the latest single ahead of July's LP release
Hailing originally from Los Angeles, California, meet Girlpool. These two young women put out their debut EP on Wichita Records last year, and are gearing up for their first full length release this summer.
In preparation for this, the duo will be releasing their latest single, Chinatown on March 23rd. Also distributed by indie rock stable Wichita – known for releases from bands as diverse as First Aid Kit, The Cribs and Simian Mobile Disco – Chinatown is a gentle, slightly melancholic tune, and represents a slight departure from their earlier, more blues-driven sound.
Girlpool consists of Cleo Tucker on guitar and Harmony Tividad on bass. The pair relocated from LA to Philadelphia at the end of last year, and it's possible that the more laid back environment of the East has influenced their sound on the latest record.

Chinatown will be followed by full length record Before the World Was Big in July. Both records can be pre-ordered from the Wichita Records online store.
