Toys in pictures
Let's start a sunny day by visiting an interesting photo-exhibition about toys from the 1800s to our contemporary days at Centro Culturale A. Zanussi, Pordenone. Guido Cecere, a historian of photography, had set up a remarkable exhibition about kids toys.

The main features of the exposition were the original postcards collected during 40 years of Cecere's career. Those cards represented kids wearing typical playsuits and having fun with démodé toys. For instance, there was a photo tableau in which kids are depicted with the wooden hoop, as it was a popular game until the 70's (kids had to roll the hoop with a fork).

The artist also possessed pictures printed with the early technique of the daguerreotype. Those images feature classic beach games to solitaire and a simple game with a ball.

What else could have caught our attention? Surely, the lined-up series of wooden horses, so cute and looking at the audience as they were awaiting for some little munchkins to come and play with them.

Moreover, you could have not missed the red car scale-model hung on the wall, ready to be driven by an eternally young soul.

Furthermore, in the next room modern representations were exposed. In this case the pictures were the outcome of a photo competition for students who were able to immortalise their idea of the up-to-date toys.

Thus, spectacular prints with original contents were chosen to add value to the exhibition's main topic.
