It is time to show off those budgie smugglers
This six kilometre dash in your budgie smugglers is to raise awareness and much needed funds for the 7, 500 young Australians with high care needs currently living in aged care.
So there is no better excuse to pull out those budgie smugglers or bikinis and show them off in public with the opportunity to raise awareness. Every dollar raised will help Youngcare provide grants to stop young people going into the aged care.
It is quite easy, all you need to do is be brave, gutsy and courageous and run 6km in nothing but your Budgie Smugglers or Smugglettes! The run is for all ages and kids can even join in. Last year over four hundred brave participants took part in the Budgie Bolt and collectively raised over $ 145, 000 for young Aussies in need. This year they are hoping to smash those results.
The run starts and finishes at Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour.
You start at Tumbalong Park (near the Imax theatre) then you Bolt along the Esplanade past Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Australian National Maritime Museum. You will then wind your way around the Wharf at Pyrmont and Jones Bay, turning around at Pirrama Park and Bolting along the footpaths of Pirrama Rd and Murray St back to Tumbalong Park finish line.
Put on those budgie smugglers and make the bolt to help young people!
Getting to the event from Sydney's CBD is a five to ten minute walk or an easy trip from train, bus, light rail, water taxi or ferry.
