This weekend, the Ginger Flower & Food Festival returns to The Ginger Factory for three days of free family entertainment and of course, beautiful blooms.

This annual event, which kicks off on Friday, January 17th and runs till Sunday January 19, 2014, showcases the largest and most exquisite range of ornamental gingers and heliconias under one roof.

Expect to see over 120 different varieties, from delicate costas, to bold beehive gingers, as well as some of the Sunshine Coast's most popular chefs, gardening celebrities and entertainers.

You can view the complete program of special events here.

This festival is perfect for all ages; in addition to the flower showcase, there will be a diverse range of entertainment on offer, as well as great food to sample.

It's a wonderful celebration of Queensland's sub-tropical lifestyle and is free to attend.
