Impromptu adventuring, exploring our backyard and then putting pen to paper, hoping to entice you to try one, if not all, of our escapades, is my true reward!

Much-loved "Moreton" back on track!
A big cheer to the iconic Ginger Factory in Yandina for bringing Moreton back from his Sunshine Coast holidays just in time for the school holidays!
What a lovely treat for the little ones!
My grandson is besotted with trains, especially Thomas the Tank, who is carried around in whatever form available, at this stage of his 2 year life, it's the Thomas the Tank DVD case (yep, not even a DVD inside), so I decided to treat my little man to a visit to the Ginger Factory.
Admission is free and one just pays for the respective tours. A ride on Moreton is free for all little ones under the age of 4 and $8 for adults (that's me) so was well worth the trip. Moreton does a very scenic trip around the Ginger Factory gardens, which are absolutely beautiful this time of year with quite a few ginger plants still in bloom, adding to the festive feel. They have their own chickens, which love to chase Moreton around a section of the track, to the delight of the little ones.

Treat yourself to a Super Bee tour where beekeepers share the hidden secrets of the hive or allow your littlies to enjoy the colourful all-weather playground built just for them.
Catch your breath at the Ice Creamery where the selection is to die for: milkshakes, double thick milkshakes, parfaits, ginger bread men for the little ones to decorate themselves.
A wonderful all year round destination even offering a venue for the next birthday party!
A VIP Annual Pass only costing $38 is definitely the way to go for me as we'll be making our way back regularly.
Don't delay, make your way to the iconic Ginger Factory in Yandina!
