The Ginger and Tonic show at the Royal Croquet Club was a big, bold and brassy night in for big business b*tches. It was all about us girls and how we do girl things - like being the boss of everything and coming up with brilliant ideas on how to make lots of money - just like Gina Rinehart! And Oprah. And Gary. Who wasn't there in person, but we are all sure he got the voicemail!
For Love Or Money was just like a big group hug. We all shared, we all laughed, we took notes on how to properly network. The girls shared with us the secrets of their big business aspirations and their daily life in the big business world as company CEOs. And, oh the songs! They sang. Actually, they just ripped the stage apart with their voices. Their individual voices are terrific and together as a cappella, they hum, beatbox and sing in perfect harmony.
Ginger and Tonic are a wonderfully talented and sensationally glamorous a capella female quartet. Many of their songs are very clever originals and the others are interesting and cheeky re-works of popular songs.
This show is dairy and gluten free. But, a warning - it may contain nuts.
Formed just 7 years ago, Ginger and Tonic have appeared in festivals and venues all over Australia as well as in Germany at the International A Cappella Festival in Leipzig. In 2012 they won First Place at SingFest – Australia's leading A Cappella festival.
Ginger and Tonic's For Love Or Money can be seen during the 2017 Adelaide Fringe Festival at the Royal Croquet Club on War Memorial Drive in the city until Sunday the 19th of March.
