Jazz up your Thursday Nights
I'm a fan of going out on Thursday nights. Knowing I only have one more work day to get through is enough reason to celebrate. Now I can add a new venue to my list of favourite week night haunts.
Riley St Garage is a funky cool bar and restaurant that loves good jazz and serves amazing food. Here you can take a journey back to the 1920s with Gin + Jazz Thursday Nights.
Back in the 1920s, the young people embraced the flapper culture and were known for being brash, daring and chic. The music was exciting, fun and intoxicating. Nowadays many small bars are trying to recreate the atmosphere of the 1920s speakeasies from with cool art deco decor and of course the vibrant jazz music from that era.
The music, the fashion and the fun of the flapper era can clearly be seen in the video below.
Gin + Jazz Nightsnights will be taking place from 6pm every Thursday night in the newly opened Busby bar at the Riley St Garage. A rotating line-up of musicians will transport you back to the Jazz of the 1920s.
While you get your fill of tunes, you can also ignite your taste buds with some specially selected gin cocktails created by their new mixologist Robert Caldwell.
Check it out one Thursday night and get your weekend off to a great start!
