A vintage caravan worth following
Not long ago I was sitting down at Port Noarlunga Beach and like a mirage on a hot thirsty day, I looked up and saw a silver glow ... The Gin Gypsy cruise right by.

At first, I was confused. Did a vintage caravan just drive by me with the words 'gin' written on it? I adjusted my sunnies and quickly turned on the ignition in my car. I was going to follow this little vintage silver… Gin thing! I mean, who wouldn't? It had gin written on it!

As I got closer I could see it really was a Vintage Caravan called The Gin Gypsy!

Yes! Yes, my eyes did behold a silver vintage caravan called The Gin Gypsy. And I blurted out loudly (to the surprise of a passer-by and his dog) this is very cool!

And so began my polite (yet persistent…I mean it's gin we are dealing with) investigation of the new little wonder and boy, am I glad I got the info on this one!

The Gin Gypsy...This is not a mirage
The Gin Gypsy - This is not a mirage

In late 2016 owner/operator Glenda and her sister Felicity pondered over the need for a gin caravan that would showcase small batch distilled SA Gins. They mused at the idea of roaming (hence the gypsy part in the name) in a vintage caravan providing gin to the masses.

That little conversation became a reality and today, The Gin Gypsy is launching in South Australia, which means if you are thirsty, it's not a mirage. The Gin Gypsy can come to you - cruising in like a little silver bullet rockstar, full off some of the finest SA gins available today.

From the Delicious KIS Mulberry Gin produced on Kangaroo Island (which is perfect for Christmas) to the new Seppeltsfield Road Distillers House Gin that gains its delicate depth from chamomile and locally grown lavender with the white cornflower adding a gentle sweetness ....

I could go on and on with more details, but it's probably best you visit the Gin Gypsy yourself and pick your own SA favourite.

You will find such a mix of SA Gin on offer (no pun intended) that you can sit right down and enjoy a little tasting session and even try a gin and soda which is the newest popular mix (and lower in calories than tonic too).

Get in quick for The Gin Gypsy event bookings and you can get a great little discount on your booking. If you'd like to visit The Gin Gypsy in her natural habitat with other vintage caravans, then you are in luck! There is a Vintage and Classic Caravaners of SA open day at Lake Albert Caravan Park October 27th 2018. You can experience The Gin Gypsy and the mixology of Gin first hand while discussing future event bookings.

How could you not check this out? It's SA gin in a vintage caravan. Can it get any better than that? If you visit The Gin Gypsy or you book the silver thirst quencher for an event, tell them Eileena said "hi"…politely. Then invite me to your event. There is always room for another SA gin lover.
