Let's get ready to rumble
It's summer and the sliders are back in town. No, not those sliders that you get at your local tapas bar, but rather the original and the best that Adelaide has seen since the days of the Rowley Park Speedway. And this season promises to be something special at the Gillman Speedway with a banquet sized serving of the much loved speedway sidecars.
The Easter weekend will be the highlight when the FIM Oceania Speedway Sidecar Championship returns to Gillman as part of the 2018 Festival of Speed at Gillman. The prestigious three wheeled international showdown will feature the world's best Speedway Sidecar competitors and teams duke it out for coveted 2018 FIM Oceania line honours.
In readiness for Easter, and ensuring that teams have plenty of practice events, sidecars feature prominently throughout the 17 event 2017/18 program including four rounds of the Sidecar Super Series. Not to be outdone, the solos and the juniors make regular appearances at the track with January 14 featuring the final round of the Australian Solo Championships.
