It's not over until
You thought the Feast Festival was over for 2016? It's not quite - the City of Charles Sturt and the Elizabeth Street Traders in conjunction with Feast Festival proudly present Gilligan's Big Gay Island this Friday November 18.
Come down to Queen Street Croydon where the pavement will be lined with palm trees, beach balls and lazy boys (the couch kind!), and be entertained with the likes of Fresh 92.7 DJ's, and Samba Drummers.
But wait, of course there is more: you are in for a real treat, with acts from acclaimed performance group Swing Dog Circus, including Winter Amour demonstrating her flying gymnastics and Goddess, Flavella La Moore who will be performing with two 7 foot long serpents!
Listen to local acoustic tunes from The Bec Gollan Trio who will get you bopping in the street before the strip gets taken over by a Drag Fashion Parade. Expect sequins, fur and everything in between as Queens strut their stuff. Saving the best till last is Fiera Flow, with the power of fire. This is one island party that will stay burning long after it ends, so which Gilligan's Island character will you come as? Gilligan, the Skipper, Mary Ann, the Professor, Ginger, Thurston Howell III or Mrs Howell?
The Queen Street traders will be open, so while you are being entertained you can go make a cheeky purchase at Hype and Seek. Or maybe your taste is Azalia Boutique? Bars will be open for you to quench your thirst and plenty of places for you to sit and relax.
This is a free and inclusive community street party featuring family friendly entertainment. See you there?
