This November, Master Gilder Marcus Walkley invites you to discover the spectacular world of gilding in an interactive two-day workshop in his private studio.

Held at Studio Walkley Art, Melbourne's first gilding studio to offer a beginner's gilding course, this is a very special opportunity to learn from Marcus Walkley, who has 35 years of experience providing resplendent gold gilding to luxury resorts, hotels, restaurants and the finest luxury homes around Australia and abroad.

Marcus' career highlights include Singapore Four Seasons Hotel, private palaces in Nassim Road, the Cairns Hilton Hotel, West Side Place Ritz Carlton Hotel, Crown Casino, Melbourne's Arts District Hamer Hall, Sydney's Barangaroo, and several contemporary restaurants, bars, homes, and clubs in Spain.

In this exclusive and immersive two-day workshop, held on 30 November - 1 December, you'll learn the skills and techniques of the gilding process and helpful tips and tricks so you can start your gilding projects with ease.

Alongside Marcus, you will apply Copper leaf, Silver foil and Gold foil to a variety of objects, including vases, ornaments and flat panels. You are sure to walk away inspired to start your own gilding journey - whether it be small projects for the festive season or large-scale projects such as ceilings and walls.

There will be fun surprises too - such as a glass of gold-infused bubbly, as well as the chance to create a delicious treat using pure edible gold leaf which is perfect to share with friends and family at Christmas.
