Brisbane's City Botanic Gardens is the perfect spot for a picnic on the manicured lawns or under a spreading tree, and every Brisbaneite knows that May is the perfect time for a picnic.
Well, Brisbane City Council is providing an added reason to get out in those glorious gardens and autumn sunshine, every Saturday afternoon this May with Gigs and Picnics in the Gardens.
BYO rugs, chairs and picnic basket, and spread out while you listen to live music. If you don't want to pack your own picnic, don't worry. There will also be food trucks in attendance to satisfy your cravings.
Each May Saturday food trucks will set up shop from midday, while two separate local Brisbane acts will entertain you; one from midday to 2pm, and another from 2pm to 4pm. You can enjoy everything from jazz and gypsy swing to reggae and dub.
