This Christmas, how would you like to design your own gift wrap?

Well, now you can, thanks to shopping centre The Galeries bringing in some talented artists to help you create something personal with recently-released technology from Lenovo.

The Galeries Gifted

Gifted" allows you to engage your creative side in this Christmas pop-up and make your wrapping paper your own. Each week a different artist is on hand to work with shoppers to help 'Pimp Your Paper' with Lenovo's Yoga Book tablet.

This Yoga Book is no ordinary tablet. It comes with a stylus and real ink, allowing you to sketch and make notes, along with an invisible keyboard you activate when you need it. It detects 2048 levels of pressure, permitting the capturing of subtle nuances of every stroke. Thin and light, you can set your imagination free anywhere, anytime.

Spend $100 at The Galeries to qualify then visit the garden of inspiration full of scrapbooking, stationery and crafting materials on the ground floor before heading to the wrapping station where an artist will assist you with your creation and when ready, print it for you.

It's a wonderful and innovative idea for shoppers that blurs the conventional retail experience and supports emerging artists in the process. Street artists on board to help are Bianca Beers, Cherie Buttons, Furry Little Peach and Ox King, who have worked with the likes of Netflix and Nike. You can find them weekdays from 11am-3pm (7pm on Thursdays).

But that's not all. Enter your paper design to be in the running to win one of these fantastic Yoga Books. There's one being given away each week. If you miss out, there's another opportunity to win with Giftagram by taking a picture of a gift on your wish list (up to the value of $200) from one of the retailers in The Galeries. Visit the Giftagram vending machine, click Vend to collect your unique code, post your code and picture on Instagram with #Gifted. Collect the envelope dispatched by the Giftagram to find out if you've won that very item. There will be one winner each day with consolation prizes for everyone else.

Your regular shopping gift catalogue is coming to you in an innovative way as well. Each of The Galeries four laneways will be transformed by the artists into a visual wish list with illustrations of gifts that can be purchased from retailers in this city mall. Created using the Yoga Book, peruse the walls for lots of great ideas. There's even a laneway for the hardest to buy for with gifts under $100.
