This is a day like no other - a family fun & fascinating day
The Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day is having its eleventh Field Day. It is a day for everyone to enjoy and get out of the bustling city!

Some of the events/things to see and buy that will be there this year include:
Homemade jams
Dried fruit
Shearing demonstrations
Milk a cow or a goat
Taste fresh cheese
Olive oil
Demonstrations about what you can do on your property

Special events will be the Slow Food Long Table lunch but make sure you book for this, as places are limited and sell fast.

Also this year the disco soup is back with a bicycle for you to produce your own smoothies and a growers corner for local produce. At the Talks Marquee, there will be talks from Alain Fabregues on truffles. Alain will be selling inoculated trees.

Nola will be talking for the WA Jujubes Association and these already grow in Gidgegannup. David will be talking about growing blueberries. Sabrina Hahn will be the key speaker this year. Sabrina is well known for her expert gardening advice on the radio and at shows.

In the Small Landholders Marquee, Simon Cherriman will be talking about the majestic eagles and his journey tracking them throughout Western Australia. Darryl Hardie will be giving lots of advice about pests in the garden and so much more!

It will be held on Sunday 27th May 2018 at the Gidgegannup Showgrounds, 2171 Toodyay Road. For visitors, this Countryman Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day is the place where those living and working on small farms in the agricultural sector, can see heaps of things in the one area.

You can also compare from a selection of products and services designed to help you with efficient farming and rural practices. For those people who are contemplating a "sea change" onto a small or larger property, this is an excellent first place to start finding out information.
