Do you have a hobby farm, a big backyard, or would you just like to spend an enjoyable and informative day in the country? If the answer to any of these questions is "yes", then the Countryman Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day on 25 May is for you. Now in its sixth year, the Field Day offers a jam-packed program of seminars and demonstrations on animals, fruit, vegetables, gardens, crops and more, all mixed in with plenty of food and entertainment.

The Field Day has four main indoor venues. The Pavilion features the award-winning Beyond Gardens team hosting a variety of workshops on all things gardening. The Marquee has Great Gardens presenter and sustainability expert Chris Ferreira with tips on drought-proofing and healthy food. The Food and Wine Pavilion will have presentations on slow food, preserving, keeping bees and more. The Bush Verandah is the go-to place for the youngsters, with children's gardening, mini worm farms and Roaming Reptile Education.

There's plenty to do outside as well. From sheep shearing and working dogs through to alpacas, goats and poultry, this is the place to learn about small farm animal husbandry. Plus there's music, crafts and the Cuddly Animal Farm for the kids. Download the program now and start planning a great day out.

The Countryman Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day is proudly supported by the Countryman Newspaper, City of Swan, EMRC, Mundaring Bendigo Bank and McDowall Affleck Pty Ltd.
