The first thing that caught my eyes when entering this place was the beautiful long jarrah timber bar with a high ceiling above us. Gidge Inn Bar and Grill surely provided a cosy outback ambience - the perfect place to unwind with a cold drink and fancy food choices.

You can see selections of food and drink available at this place on their
website, with vegan choices also available. Of course, the kids' menu also can be found here. Another amazing thing at this place is the choice of alcoholic beverages a bar can be comprised, of all the liquids one can wish for. But that night I just had a Jacob's Creek Sauvignon Blanc.
We were in Cloncurry for Cloncurry Rockhana Gem and Mineral Festival, so this small town, about 785km from Townsville through Flinders Highway, was packed with visitors. Gidgee Inn Bar & Grill was busy that night but the service was great and quick.
We had very moreish garlic bread for entrée while waiting for our main course. The children were busy with colouring-in that they received from one of the lovely waitresses. The facilities have been made wheelchair accessible. This place also offers free wi-fi with an outdoor seating area.
