Giddyup folks -the Mule has arrived

We visited the Mule in Yarraville last Saturday, having heard of this cool new cafe through the local grapevine. It's not a part of Yarraville known for its cafes, yet, this place was busy. Having only opened less than a month ago, this place feels like it's been pumping for longer.
The service is friendly. We were warmly greeted near the entrance and shown to a table. It was cold outside, but inside a fire was roaring.

There was noise, a lot of noise that sounded like it was pounding the roof and loud music. We soon discovered that this was from a spin class that was on behind the cafe. I am told this only happens on Saturday. The rest of the week, spin class is over before the cafe opens. I suggest you go during the week, or after 9.30 on a Saturday, only for this reason.
The Mule is cool. It's a nice space, set inside an old architecturally designed warehouse. Tables are also available outside. There are a couple of other businesses in here - including a personal trainer, gym and spin cycling studio. Walls define each area.
The menu has something for everyone. The more typical breakfast or lunch items such as eggs, smashed avocado and and toast. Then there are some intriguing options such as a pulled pork cigar with caribou apple, or cinnamon chia, with goji berries and housemade almond milk and coconut sugared banana.
I ordered the organic coconut water made bircher muesli with poached pear, acai and berry coconut yoghurt and activated nuts. This was the standout! Beautifully presented, healthy and so, so good, wow! A decent sized serve too. We also ordered poached eggs on toast and coffees.
