Getting Published as a Writer for Children Course

Event:
It's easy to write, but hard to get published
It turns out that there is a lot more to getting a children's book published than perfecting your ABCB rhyming scheme. Learn the tricks of the trade from Allen & Unwin publisher Eva Mills, children's writer Meredith Costain and children's book illustrator Ann James.

The course answers writers' questions about the process from submitting to publishers, to getting an agent, to what happens after the book is published. Learn what publishers are looking for, how to approach publishers, how to maximise your chances of publication, and about the author-publisher relationship.

The one-day Getting Published as a Writer for Children course costs $295 and is aimed at those who already have a manuscript and are now looking at how to get it in print. Attendees are required to send a writing sample from your manuscript prior to the course, for the purposes of receiving individual feedback.
