Get Your Sh*t Together by Sarah Night is a written by bestselling anti-guru about how to stop whining and start winning. I was a fan of her first book 'The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k' so I was keen to read this one.
Sarah talks about how she gave up her well-paid corporate job in New York City which she was unhappy into a 'sipping-frozen-drinks-on-beach-freelancer' and her plan to get there in a year. Sarah talks about setting goals, breaking them down into manageable chunks and using calendars and to-do lists to achieve them.
The third part of the book deals with tough sh*t, like mental health, analysis paralysis, difficult conversations and making big life changes. There is a humorous list of twelve steps for defeating perfectionism.
I prefer Sarah's first book and the gimmick of swearing is starting to wear off. Both of her self-help books are full of irreverent humour and useful practical tips.
Get Your Sh*t Together might provide you with the motivation and tools to get real and start you on the path to your dream life.
