Get Your Shorts On! is back with a twist. It is a yearly event showing an exciting selection of short films and webisodes produced by Western Australia's talented, up and coming filmmakers.



This is brought to you by both Screenwest and Lotterywest. This year, City of Vincent Film Project titles are included.

Get Your Shorts On! 2018 films have been curated by Revelation . Please note - some of the shorts on are not suitable for people under 15 years of age.

[b]Wednesday 11th July, at 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm[/b]
1. CALLING is an 11 minute short produced by Emilia Jolakoska and Miley Tunnecliffe.

Writer/Director: Miley Tunnecliffe.

It is a comedy about a dysfunctional relationship between a mother and her daughter and is made entirely through their phone calls.

2. THE BIG SPAGHETTI is an 18 minute short, produced by Susannah Day, and directed by Zoe Pepper.

It is written by Zoe Pepper, Adriane Daff, and Tim Watts.

In this short, Gabby seeks solace in Melissa's home in order to get over a broken heart and reinvent her life.

But when Gabby's fierce alter ego becomes the object of Melissa's affections, their happy days change to be not so happy!



3. SMALL TOWN HACKERS is a 5 minute short, produced by Lauren Elliott, and directed by Henry Inglis.

It is written by Henry Inglis, Matt Lovkis, and Joel Gray.

After spending ten years in the big city, Alex returns to his hometown for the funeral of his high school sweetheart.

Things are not as they seem, so he has to get help from his younger brother. This, in turn, leads to his brother's mates who are "wannabe" hackers,and who try to work out what is going on.



4. GHOSTS OF VINCENT is a 10 minute documentary, written and produced by Paul van Lieshout Hunt.

This was one of the winners in this year's Revelation Film Festival, and it is directed by Ellen Broadhurst, and Kimberly McGivern.

A documentary that looks at historical people and venues within the area of the City of Vincent. The film investigates the legend of "Kanga", the ghost who haunts the newly renovated Leederville Hotel. It also tells about other places and locations of interest in the Vincent area.

This is a local supernatural documentary about 20,000 people who live in the City of Vincent, but they're not alone!

5. THE BEEMAN is an 8 minute documentary, produced by Cody Greenwood.

This is one of the winning shorts for this year's Revelation Film Festival. The hype around local Beeman, Carl Maxwell, isn't for nothing. This man is the best in the business, mainly because he can communicate with the local honeybee population.

This tells about a man who wants to save the honey bee. He does this by working on one suburb at a time.



It is written and directed by Frances Elliott and Samantha Marlowe

6. QUALITY TIME is a 7 minute documentary, directed by Matt Sav, and produced by PAVLOVA

"Live Your Best Life".

These movies are all on at The Luna Leederville, 155 Oxford Street, Leederville, on 7th July, 2018, and they last for a total of 70 minutes.
